I always say if the room doesn’t feel right then it isn’t finished.
Ever since we’ve moved in (seven years ago) I just never had that warm and cozy feeling I was hoping for in my bedroom.
Well one pandemic and quarantine later and I finally finished it! We started with a shiplap statement wall. Which surprisingly was not as much work as we had thought it would be. We used the Home Depot pre-slotted ship lap and it was essentially lock and nail in! We painted it a bright white and trimmed along the edges before caulking it.
We painted the other walls Castle Beige by Home Depot which is my all time favorite neutral. It does have a slight taupe/pinkish tone though which I thought would fit perfect in this setting but paired with other decor it may come off too pink.
I found this beautiful beaded chandelier on Amazon (all links below!) It was under $150 and great quality! My wool rug was also purchased off Amazon. This is an 8×10. I love the extra texture it brings to the room as well as tying in the brown tones from the wall decor.
My bed frame is from Wayfair and OBSESSED is an understatement. It is wonderful quality and I love the winged back. My comforter is Madison Parks and another FAV! I know a lot of people are terrified of white but it gives that hotel stay feel that is worth every anxiety! But, if it’s not your thing, it also comes in a grey color!
I was very excited for my basket wall. I was unsure what I wanted above the bed. I toyed with the idea of a gallery wall style but ultimately decided on this. I loved how the baskets created a warm, boho vibe completely changing the whole style of the room.
The large baskets were purchased at Home Goods but I have linked the smaller ones. My favorite is the round tassled one! I snatched it on Amazon and it was the perfect addition. If you plan on doing a feature wall like this I recommend find a few large ones in comparison to room size and then you can search for smaller ones. Don’t forget to look up placemats! They work great for the wall design!
If you follow me on Instagram than you already know my love for this wicker chair! I The ottoman is included and its very reasonably priced! Not to mention it adds texture and color without drawing a ton of attention! I just threw a fuzzy blanket on it along with a throw pillow.
The side tables are antique find repurposed. The paint I use to repurpose them is Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. The cathedral mirror is from Hobby Lobby and under $40 if you grab it for half off!
This little jute rug was another Amazon steal. This is 3×3 and its the perfect size for in front of my mirror! Its great material, heavy duty, and yet to unwind or shed.
The tufted chair is one of my first Wayfair purchases when I moved in my new house. I love how sleek it is and how it fits perfectly in this little spot. I use it for a clothes hanger most days but still!
A very dear client gave me this dresser. I was on the hunt for the perfect mirror dresser and nothing seemed “right”. When I saw this I knew it would be perfect. Im obsessed with the large mirror and the original handles. We spray painted this Heirloom white and left the handles natural. My husband prefers to spray paint to avoid the hard work of sanding. It is a little more expensive but it cuts the time in half!
This dresser was just a dresser I had already at home. I debated chucking it and buying a new one as well. It is originally brown like the wood on my floor. It was a newer dresser so I wasn’t too sure how it would look repainted. As you can see it is still missing a knob, HA! Until the world reopens I can’t replace the missing one or get new bed pillows while I am at it. This dresser was spray painted Heirloom white as well. It did come out slightly more yellow toned than the mirror dresser because of the dark wood but I don’t mind. I am not into matchy matchy furniture anyway!
Did I mention I LOVE these handles! The bright brass is so stark and beautiful next to the pale white. This little round basket was given to me by my mother. It’s older than myself and was picked up on one of her worldly adventures as an airline stewardess!
Overall, I am over the moon with how my bedroom turned out! I have linked my favorite items below. Feel free to message if you have any questions!
