Protein Pumpkin Frappe

Happy Halloween!!

I couldn’t miss the opportunity to post something pumpkin spice before October was over! Now that I think about it I’ve already posted something pumpkin a while back (Protein Pumpkin Waffles ) but tis the season!

For the past five years, before I got pregnant, I have competed in a bikini competition in the fall. So for five years straight my fall did not consist of donuts and cider or Halloween candy or even the highly anticipated pumpkin spice latte 😱 This definitely put a damper on my holiday spirit!

But in doing so I became extremely creative with my meals to mimic these things or at least insert pumpkin any way possible!

It’s been a few years so I attempted to dig out some old faves! I started with some pumpkin cookies. They ended up being more like a pumpkin cake in the form of a cookie… I don’t really mind what shape they come in but since they weren’t pretty I decided to revert back to another old favorite and share that with you!

(In the meantime if you’re curious about these pumpkin cookies, or pumpkin cake,
here is the recipe for that: Pumpkin Cookies)

In the depths of my competition prep, all I wanted was a pumpkin type drink from
Starbucks. Considering those drinks are anywhere from 500 to 2000 calories, I knew they would never be an option so I whipped up my own version of a Pumpkin Frappe! It’s so simple and delicious you’ll want it every morning in the fall! I made mine cold for a sweet treat, but feel free to ax the ice and make it a hot drink!

Protein Pumpkin Frappe

1 Scoop Vanilla Protein powder

1/2 Cup Iced Coffee

1/4Cup Pumpkin Puree

1/8tsp Pumpkin Spice

1/8tsp Ground Nutmeg

1/4tsp Cinnamon

1 Cup Ice cubes

Squirt of Rediwhip

Sprinkle of Cinnamon

Start with your cold coffee and then add in your scoop of protein powder. Mix well until it is well incorporated. Add in your seasoning and mix. Lastly, add in your pumpkin puree and then top with ice. Blend! Then top with fat-free Rediwhip and a sprinkle of cinnamon! It’s that easy!

What are some of your favorite fall pumpkin staples?!
